Roofing
A roof that works with the rest of the house.
Replacement and repair, done as part of the whole exterior. A roof is only as good as where it meets the walls, the chimney, and the gutters, and that is where we pay the most attention.
How we approach it
The roof is one part of one system.
Most roof leaks are not in the middle of the roof. They are at the edges and transitions: where the roof meets a wall, around chimneys and vents, at valleys, and at the eaves where ice and water back up. Because we also do siding, trim, and gutters, we flash those transitions as one system instead of leaving them to whoever comes next.
Hail is a fact of life on the Front Range. After a storm we will look at your roof, tell you honestly whether it needs repair or replacement, and if you are working with your insurance company, document what we find.
What we do
Roofing, start to finish.
Roof replacement
Tear-off down to the deck, damaged decking replaced, new underlayment, ice and water protection at the eaves and valleys, and new shingles.
Repairs
Wind and hail damage, lifted or missing shingles, leaks at flashing, vents, and chimneys.
Flashing & ventilation
Step and counter flashing at the walls, drip edge at every edge, and balanced attic ventilation so the roof lasts as long as it should.
Impact-resistant options
Shingles rated for hail impact are worth considering here. Ask your insurer whether they offer a discount for them.
Questions
What people ask us.
Do I need a new roof after a hailstorm?
Not always. Some storms leave cosmetic marks; others crack shingles and bruise the mat underneath. We will get on the roof, show you what we find with photos, and tell you plainly what it needs.
Can you work with my insurance claim?
We can inspect, document the damage, and give you a written scope and price. The claim itself is between you and your insurer, and we will be straight with you about what we see.
Repair or replace?
If the roof is relatively young and the damage is limited, a repair often makes sense. If it is near the end of its life or the damage is widespread, replacing it is usually the better value. We will tell you which, and why.
Can you do the roof and the siding together?
Yes, and it is the best way to do it. The flashing where the roof meets the walls is shared between the two, so doing both at once means it is done right, once.
